Job Description

Salary:
$40,000 + Bonus Position Summary The Recruiting & HR Specialist is responsible for attracting, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding high-quality caregivers and support staff for Caretech. This position serves as the primary point of contact throughout the hiring process, ensuring a positive candidate experience from initial application through successful transition to the Care Coordinator team. The ideal candidate is energetic, relationship-driven, and results-oriented with a passion for finding exceptional talent through community outreach, networking, recruiting events, job boards, referrals, and competitive recruiting strategies. Key Responsibilities Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Develop and execute recruiting strategies to increase the quantity and quality of caregiver applicants. Actively recruit candidates through job boards, social media, networking events, community partnerships, schools, and referral programs. Conduct field recruiting efforts, including job fairs, career events, and community outreach activities. Identify and engage passive candidates currently employed by competitors and other healthcare organizations. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future staffing needs. Monitor recruiting metrics and recommend improvements to hiring processes and recruiting sources. Applicant Screening & Interviewing Review applications and assess candidate qualifications. Conduct initial phone screens and interviews. Evaluate candidates for culture fit, professionalism, reliability, and caregiving competencies. Coordinate interviews with branch leadership when necessary. Maintain accurate applicant records and documentation. Hiring & Onboarding Manage candidates through all stages of the hiring process. Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment requirements. Ensure all hiring documentation is completed accurately and timely. Communicate regularly with candidates to maintain engagement throughout onboarding. Monitor onboarding progress and proactively address delays or barriers. Orientation & Employee Integration Ensure new hires attend scheduled orientation sessions. Confirm all required training and onboarding activities are completed. Facilitate a smooth handoff from recruiting to operations. Introduce new employees to their assigned Care Coordinator and branch team. Support employee engagement during the critical first 90 days of employment. Retention & Workforce Development Conduct follow-up calls with newly hired employees. Identify early retention concerns and partner with branch leadership to resolve issues. Assist with employee recognition and referral initiatives. Support workforce development programs and recruiting campaigns. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of recruiting, staffing, customer service, healthcare, or related experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to build relationships and influence candidates throughout the hiring process. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and recruiting technology platforms. Preferred Experience recruiting caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, DSPs, or healthcare personnel. Experience with applicant tracking systems. Knowledge of home care, healthcare staffing, or human resources practices. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Success Metrics The Recruiting & HR Specialist will be evaluated on: Number of qualified applicants generated Number of new hires and starts Orientation attendance rate 30-day retention rate 90-day retention rate Time-to-fill open positions Caregiver referral participation Candidate satisfaction and engagement
