Job Description

We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented HR Generalist/Business Partner for a key 4-5 month contract role at our client's facility in Swedesboro, NJ. This is a "roll up your sleeves" position perfect for an HR professional who thrives in the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced environment. You will be the primary point of contact for on-site HR activities, focusing heavily on new hire orientations, employee relations investigations, and essential administrative system updates. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will drive the daily engine of the HR department through:
On-boarding & Orientation:
Lead the facilitation of new hire orientations and ensure a seamless coordination of the on-boarding process.
Employee Relations:
Conduct thorough investigations into HR issues, guide managers on meticulous documentation.
Operational Support:
Partner with managers and associates to handle day-to-day administrative tasks, status changes, and HRIS (system) updates.
Leave Management:
Coordinate with external leave administrators to track and process FMLA, Short-Term Disability, and Worker's Comp paperwork at the site level.
Compliance & Records:
Maintain accurate, confidential personnel files and ensure compliance with OSHA, EEO, and AAP reporting requirements.
Engagement:
Act as a visible, approachable resource for associates to monitor the "pulse" of the workforce and boost morale.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience:
3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing, retail, or high-volume service environment.
Technical Expertise:
At least 2 years of direct experience handling employee relations and investigations.
Systems:
Strong proficiency in HRIS platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
Mindset:
You must be comfortable with a high-volume workload and competing priorities. This is a highly administrative and "hands-on" role that requires someone who is self-motivated and independent.
