• Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date. Due to the available budget allocated for this position, the hiring rate will not exceed $28.71 per hour. Why does the job exist? The purpose of this position is to provide a broad range of supportive Human Resource functions to staff and management within an adult correctional facility. How does it get done? Facilitate human resource (HR) processes to include payroll Assist with employee hiring, performance review, termination and the recruitment processes Conduct audits of payroll and other HR programs Who are the customers? The New Mexico Corrections Department Ideal Candidate The New Mexico Corrections Department Minimum Qualification Associate degree in any field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required education. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Employment is subject to a pre-employment background investigation and is conditional pending results. Working Conditions Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which includes daily contact with inmates.
