HR Specialist (Recruiting & Payroll) Role Summary We're seeking a hands-on HR Recruiting Specialist to join our growing food manufacturing team in Corfu, NY. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced plant environment and enjoys balancing full-cycle recruiting with day-to-day HR support . The HR Specialist will focus on recruiting and payroll and will play a dual role in managing both the talent acquisition process and accurate compensation administration. This position ensures the organization hires qualified candidates while maintaining precise payroll operations in compliance with labor laws. Key Responsibilities Manage full‑cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring decisions. Maintain communication with candidates to support a positive hiring experience. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements. Source candidates through job boards, community outreach, and referrals Conduct interviews, manage offers, and oversee onboarding Build talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles Maintain HR records and HRIS systems Prepare new hire documentation and ensure completion of required forms. Coordinate orientation and system access for new employees. Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems. Execute full‑cycle payroll, including wage calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings. Maintain payroll records and ensure timely and accurate pay distribution. Reconcile payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll inquiries. Support audits and reporting requirements. Participate in employee engagement activities. Other duties in HR as assigned. Required Proficiency in payroll software (Paylocity a plus) Recruiting experience (3-5 years) of full life cycle recruiting in a manufacturing environment Minimum Associates Degree in Business or other related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of confidentiality Highly organized and can think "outside the box" on recruiting opportunities Ability to take initiative and be highly motivated High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to be on-site 5 days a week Benefit Overview Medical, dental, vision, life insurances 401k with company match Paid time off
Salary Range:
$65,000-$75,000 depending on experience
