Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR operations of a dynamic organization. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in HR processes and systems, particularly in managing part-time, non-exempt staff in large-scale environments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and adjustments to pay rates for part-time staff.
- Conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to legal and organizational standards.
- Oversee and maintain compliance processes specifically for non-exempt employees.
- Follow up on and verify I-9 documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Administer HR functions through Rippling software and other relevant platforms.
- Coordinate daily HR operations using tools such as Asana, Slack, and internal systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support special HR projects and potentially expand responsibilities to include recruitment and additional staff support.
- Ensure accurate management of data and reports using Excel and Google Sheets. Requirements
- At least 5 years of HR operations experience, preferably with large, non-exempt, part-time workforce environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Rippling or similar HRIS platforms.
- Strong expertise in Asana for workflow and process improvements.
- Proficiency in Slack, G-Suite, and Microsoft Office tools.
- High-level skills in Excel and Google Sheets for data management.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Reliable time management and commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work.
- Broad HR experience beyond operations is highly valued, especially in startup or dynamic environments.
