Human Resources Specialist (Contract / Temp-to-Hire) $28.00-$30.00 per hour | Part-Time to Full-Time | Onsite A well?established non?profit organization is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support core HR functions, employee relations, compliance, and organizational development. Contract role with potential for temp?to?hire. Job Purpose Support and manage key HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and training initiatives. This role is essential in fostering a positive work environment and supporting organizational growth. Responsibilities Foster a positive, productive, and supportive workplace culture Assist in implementing and monitoring HR policies, procedures, and systems Reassess, research, and help administer benefits (health, life, 401k) Administer and manage FMLA, disability, and workers' compensation cases Support training and development programs for staff Assist with recruitment and selection processes Support employee relations, grievances, and conflict resolution Handle disciplinary processes and participate in investigations Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes Maintain accurate HR documentation and records Perform additional duties as assigned Expectations Uphold organizational policies, procedures, and core values Maintain a positive, professional, and neutral demeanor Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail High level of motivation and ability to prioritize tasks Maintain confidentiality at all times Required Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of HR experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field SHRM certification preferred Strong interpersonal and relationship?building skills Knowledge of HR systems and databases Strong presentation and communication abilities Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $28.00 - $30.00
