Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, which will aid in the management of payroll and financial reporting tasks. Duties Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws. Assist in governmental accounting practices to maintain financial integrity. Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records. Prepare financial reports, including tax documentation and technical accounting statements. Oversee journal entries and double entry bookkeeping for various accounts. Manage accounts receivable processes to ensure timely collections and reporting. Collaborate with other departments to support HR initiatives and maintain employee records. Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to staff members. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and governmental accounting standards. Familiarity with account analysis, tax regulations, and financial report writing. Proficiency in technical accounting practices, including journal entries and double entry bookkeeping. Experience managing accounts receivable processes is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. A degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
