Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, people-focused Human Resources Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a motivated "go-getter" who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong understanding of HR policies, recruiting, employee relations, and Oregon employment practices. The ideal candidate is firm but friendly, highly organized, and confident handling sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion. Responsibilities Manage recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding Support employee relations with a professional and approachable attitude Assist with benefits administration and employee questions Ensure compliance with Oregon labor laws, workplace policies, and HR best practices Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures Handle personnel records and HR documentation accurately and confidentially Support performance management and disciplinary processes when needed Provide backup support to the Payroll Specialist, including payroll-related tasks as needed Help foster a positive, productive workplace culture Qualifications Previous Human Resources experience required Strong knowledge of Oregon employment laws and HR compliance Experience with recruiting and onboarding Familiarity with employee benefits administration Payroll experience preferred, as this position will provide backup support to payroll operations Knowledge of Oregon prevailing wage requirements is a plus, but not required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Professional, dependable, and solution-oriented Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters appropriately What We're Looking For A true people person who can build strong relationships across the organization Someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and takes initiative A balanced approach: supportive and approachable while maintaining professionalism and accountability Positive energy and a strong work ethic To apply, please submit your resume and a brief introduction outlining your HR experience and why you would be a great fit for this role.
Pay:
$30.00 - $33.00 per hour
