Position Summary The Onboarding Specialist plays a critical role in welcoming and preparing new hires for success in our human services programs. This position manages the full pre-employment process, ensuring all screenings, certifications, and documentation meet regulatory and organizational standards. The Onboarding Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for new hires, guiding them through onboarding requirements and supporting a smooth transition into their roles. Key Responsibilities Pre-Hire Scheduling & Coordination Schedule and coordinate pre-employment screenings, including fingerprinting, physicals, drug testing, and background checks. Communicate clearly and compassionately with candidates about onboarding requirements and timelines. Track and follow up on completion of all pre-employment steps to ensure readiness for start date. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, confidential records of screening results and onboarding documentation. Verify that all required forms, licenses, and certifications are completed and filed appropriately. Coordinate with external vendors, clinics, and state agencies to confirm timely processing of pre-employment requirements. Internal Collaboration Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and program leadership to align onboarding schedules with staffing needs Provide updates on onboarding progress, flag potential delays, and troubleshoot issues proactively. Assist with orientation preparation, training logistics, and other onboarding-related activities as needed. Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Two (2) years of demonstrated Human Resources administrative experience. Valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Appropriate additional experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements and vice versa. Experience in HR, recruiting, or administrative coordination; experience in human services preferred. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on candidate support and engagement. Knowledge of compliance-related documentation and regulatory requirements in human services. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, and HRIS systems.Benefits:
