JOB DESCRIPTION
Our HR Department must go above and beyond to curate and develop a best-in-breed workforce that excels in everything they do for our program-members and community. managing the "people issues" for our multi-state, rapidly growing organization. Our Staff is our most valuable resource, and this position is tasked with its care and ongoing development. Just getting the job done is not enough, and not worthy of our organization's mission. Our HR Department must go above and beyond to curate and develop a best-in-breed workforce that excels in everything they do for our program-members and community.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Associate/Bachelor's degree in business/HR strongly preferred. Professional experience in an administrative role/Human Resources Familiarity with online job board/hiring platforms such as Indeed.com, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, etc. Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure, maintain deadlines and work independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills. Experience working or interacting with a vulnerable population required. Strong knowledge and experience with Excel and Microsoft Office preferred. Basic knowledge and experience with cloud computing systems (esp. Box.com) preferred. Handle difficult situations with a positive attitude by actively seeking problem resolution, brainstorming creative solutions, and identifying opportunities for department and organizational enhancements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in all Recruiting, Onboarding, and training needs.
  • Prepare incoming Personnel Files for all new hires and assist them in completing all necessary intake forms and certification documentation.
  • Check for completion of all employment documents, finalize the Personnel File for new hires and provide to Payroll for further processing.
  • Complete all state-required checks and screening processes for new hires (ex. I-9, CPS/Background Check, Fingerprint Clearances, MVR Inquiries, etc.). Pro-actively monitor all employees for ongoing compliance with same processes/certifications/registrations, alert (soon-to-be) out-of-compliance staff and their supervisor(s), and aid them in reaching full compliance.
  • Independently maintain and complete all necessary SAM, OIG, and FOCUS processes and procedures and any other ongoing Compliance/QA duties assigned by the Compliance/QA Manager.
Ongoing Maintenance:
Successfully assist HR Director with ongoing support Primary contact for Supervisor+ in regard to quality assurance and concerns and assistance.
  • Basic knowledge of employment/labor law, benefits procurement/administration, hiring best practices, I9 management, and interpersonal conflicts resolution.
  • Answer calls/emails about performance, benefits, employee concerns, policy questions.
  • Attend meetings regularly.
  • Various projects presented to HR from upper management (i.e. Upload employee files to Box, organizing Box files to consolidate forms, etc.) and other state/federal regulated reporting.
Personnel Files:
Pro-actively collaborate with co-workers across the organization to collect and assemble all required paperwork for OSBI's confidential personnel files. Maintain same in 100% audit-ready order and condition at all times.
    Cloud & Digital Assets Management:
    Ensure that all personnel information (ex. as described above) are concurrently up to date in digital form on OSBI's cloud.
    • Project a helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and capable image for the HR department that is consistent with the OSBI mission.
    • Respond promptly and diligently to all internal/external requests., and other duties as assigned.
