Job Description

The HR Generalist provides comprehensive support in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for overseeing the full employee benefits lifecycle, ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws, managing HR reporting and analytics, and maintaining strong partnerships with benefits brokers, carriers, and third-party vendors. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, analytical, customer-focused, and experienced in managing complex benefits programs while balancing compliance obligations and employee support. This position serves as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and leadership on benefits, leave administration, and HR-related matters. This is a hybrid role, where the ideal candidate will be available to work from the MADD Mission Support Center in Las Colinas, several days of the week. The salary for this position is $62,000.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the full lifecycle of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits. Administer new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, open enrollment, terminations, and benefit changes. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolution. Coordinate annual open enrollment planning, communications, education, and implementation. Conduct regular audits of benefit enrollments, deductions, eligibility files, and carrier invoices to ensure accuracy. Reconcile benefits billing and partner with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate deductions and reporting. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FLSA, and applicable leave laws. Maintain data integrity within HRIS systems and benefits platforms. Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions regarding benefits, leave administration, policies, and HR programs. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience. Strong knowledge of employee benefits administration and leave management. Working knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, etc.) Proficiency in HR Systems (UKG, Workday, Bamboo, etc) and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Meets deadlines and maintains compliance standards. Forward-thinking; anticipating problems and opportunities. Reflects and advances MADD's mission and values in all work. An ability to work as a team player who projects enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
