Friday Summary:
Under the direction of the HR Manager , provide administrative support to HR and Accounting, including recruiting, onboarding, data entry, employment verification and payroll and benefits administration. Consistently acts as a representative of Benchmark Foam by personifying the company's Core Values of Integrity, Commitment, and Excellence.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned, including cross-training and/or working in other departments. Supports company policies, procedures and programs compliance, ensuring consistent and timely communication of all throughout the company. Recruits, interviews, and assists management in selecting applicants to fill vacant positions. Places job opening advertisements as needed. Work with HR Manager to plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals. Responsible for completing the onboarding process through our HRIS platform and Global Shop Solution software. Perform payroll duties, including updating personnel records, computing pay rates and verification to ensure accurate and timely processes are maintained. Support the HR Manager on records of benefits plans participation such as insurance (life, health, medical, dental, vision, short term disability), 401k, PTO and personal leave absences. Assists with personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations and employee statistics for government reporting. Assists in planning and coordinating activities to increase employee engagement and retention. Provide administrative functions such as creating documents, handling mail and maintaining filing. Answer common Human Resources questions from team members and supervisors. Continually provides exceptional internal and external customer service through pleasant, enthusiastic demeanor in person, over the phone or by email/fax. Responds to all requests for assistance in a prompt, timely manner. Ability to work with highly confidential information and documentation with discretion.Competencies:
Education and/orExperience:
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent education and experience. Minimum 2 years of Human Resource and Payroll/Accounting experience is preferred.Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer hardware and software including Database software, HRIS Software, Microsoft Office, Google, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Willingness to learn company software.Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.Essential Physical Functions:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
