Job Description

SUMMARY The Weekend Onsite Human Resource Consultant performs a variety of tasks within the realm of Human Resources, including, but not limited to employee relations and talent acquisition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Provides services to a Client, which will be performed at the Client's place of business on Saturdays and/or Sundays for a maximum of ten (10) hours each week.
  • Assignments include, but may not be limited to: o Handling employment-related inquiries from client staffers.
o Participating in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. o Performing all talent acquisition functions, to assist the client in recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hire of new employees. o Completing administrative tasks pertaining to forms and employee files. o Maintaining compliance with Federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. o Performing other duties, as assigned by the
CEO. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Associate degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional work experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on service.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow compliance standards and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
PREFERRED
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resource Management.
  • Four (4) years or more of professional work experience.
  • Certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) or the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication should be professional and accurate.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • No mathematical skills are required for this position.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
  • Valid Driver's License.
PREFERRED
  • Certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) or the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to climb up and down stairs in multi-story buildings.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally (primarily bankers boxes with files).
  • Must be able to access and navigate all departments at the Client's site.

  • Multi-story building, with stairs.
  • Bathroom on each floor.
  • Small kitchen on first floor, and restaurants within blocks of the Client's site.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
    Starting Range:
    $18.00
    • 20.00 per hour.
    Unpaid Holidays:
    o New Year's Day (January 1); o Independence Day (July 4); o Christmas (December 25). If these holidays fall on Saturday or Sunday, the Employee may take the day; but the goal is to complete the total number of weekly hours within that week (week starts on Sunday).
