Assist in promoting positive community, family, and parent relationships, and strategic communications about the district's mission. Provide increased staff opportunities for minorities, individuals with disabilities, and individuals underrepresented in the District.QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Certification Bachelor's Degree Master's Degree—preferredSpecial Knowledge/Skills:
Strong organizational, public relations and interpersonal skills and initiative Excellent written and verbal communication skills Effectively communicate and present information to all district stakeholders as well as universities, special interest groups and community organizations Handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously and meet deadlines Work collaboratively with other individuals as part of a team Strong decision making skills Collect, interpret and analyze various forms of data and organize information to develop reports for stakeholders Excellent problem solving and strong collaboration skills Task oriented and a self-starter Plan, schedule and support campuses, both administration and teachers, in a timely and efficient manner. Proficient technology skills using a variety of formats to communicate information Detail oriented Flexible and able to adjust easily to changes in daily routine Maintain confidentiality of informationWork Conditions:

Experience in the field of public relations and/or public education Prefer experience in community partnershipsMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Provide increased staff opportunities for minorities, individuals with disabilities, and individuals underrepresented in the district. Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of a successful on-going parent engagement program. Train Title I campus Parent Engagement Liaisons in state/federal requirements for parent engagement. Plan, coordinate, and deliver workshops for families preparing their child to begin school at Title I campuses. Coordinate workshops for families for students enrolled in PK and Kindergarten. Coordinate/conduct district parent engagement meetings throughout the year. Coordinate parent engagement activities with the instructional program. At Title I campuses in conjunction with First 5 Staff, plan, coordinate and deliver workshops for families Research best practices in effective parent engagement and disseminate to campus PI liaisons. Maintain confidentiality in all matters. Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities. Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required. Maintain confidentiality. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Ensure compliance with all local policies and state and federal statutes including the Educator Code of Ethics. Performs such other tasks and accepts such other responsibilities as may be assigned.Position Type:
