$70,000 annually Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, leave administration, benefits support, performance management, and HR operations. This position serves as a resource to employees and management while helping ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws. The HR Generalist will work closely with the Human Resources Manager to support organizational growth, improve HR processes, and foster a positive workplace culture. This role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, policies, and procedures. Conduct employee relations investigations and document findings. Assist managers with coaching, corrective action, performance improvement plans, and performance management discussions. Support conflict resolution and employee engagement initiatives. Ensure consistent application of company policies and practices. Recruiting & Onboarding Manage recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried positions. Review applications, conduct screenings, and participate in interviews. Coordinate pre-employment processes, including background checks and drug screenings. Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires. Assist with workforce planning and staffing initiatives. Leave Administration & Benefits Assist employees with benefit-related questions and enrollment support. Coordinate leave requests, including
FMLA, ADA
accommodations, workers' compensation, and personal leaves of absence. Maintain leave documentation and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Support annual open enrollment activities and benefits administration. Compliance & HR Administration Maintain employee records and personnel files. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Assist with unemployment claims, audits, reporting requirements, and compliance initiatives. Complete and maintain I-9 and E-Verify documentation. Assist with policy development, implementation, and employee communications. HRIS & Reporting Maintain employee information within HR systems. Process employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and separations. Generate reports and assist with workforce analytics. Support payroll-related HR functions and ensure data accuracy. Operational Support Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and efficiencies. Assist with special projects and strategic HR initiatives. Serve as a backup for critical HR functions as needed. Partner with leadership to support company goals and employee development. Qualifications Required Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience. Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Experience with employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and leave administration. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Manufacturing, production, or industrial workforce experience. Experience conducting workplace investigations. Experience with HRIS systems, including iSolved. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar HR certification. Bilingual English/Spanish. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout an office and manufacturing environment. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel throughout the facility as needed. Work Environment This position operates in both office and manufacturing environments and requires frequent interaction with employees, supervisors, managers, and company leadership.
