Job Purpose As an HRIS Applications Specialist, you help ensure that our HRIS systems environment runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently. You support colleagues across multiple locations by troubleshooting issues, maintaining data quality, and assisting with enhancements that improve our HR processes. Your contributions support the reliability, data integrity, and overall performance of the HRIS environment. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Monitor HRIS applications business processes and workflows to ensure they run efficiently and support accurate HR operations Provide first‑line support for HR system users: answering questions, resolving issues, and escalating when needed. Perform routine application tests, follow up on user reports, and help diagnose performance or functionality issues. Identify opportunities to streamline or automate HRIS business processes and tasks to improve efficiency Maintain clear documentation of configurations, change logs, user guides, and backup/restore procedures to support continuity and recovery. Assist in gathering business requirements by reviewing documents and workflows. Build and run standard reports; validate data accuracy and assist with simple data collection tasks for HR and business partners Ensure compliance by following established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Stay curious about new technologies and contribute ideas for improving processes and user experience. Collaborate with HR, IT, and international colleagues to support a reliable and user‑friendly HRIS environment. All other job related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements Strong communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks. An eye for detail when documenting processes or preparing reports. Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and processes. A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. Basic understanding of system testing for validating systems updates and configuration changes. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret HR data from HRIS applications to support decision‑making. Foundational knowledge of HRIS business processes, EIB, security groups/roles, and tenant navigation. Understanding of data quality and lifecycle management principles; ability to handle sensitive HR data appropriately. Familiarity with basic business requirements analysis Education and Experience A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. At least 1 year of experience working with HRIS applications, processes, or IT support tasks required. Relevant experience working with Workday required, completion of Workday training/certifications a plus Physical Demands This job operates in an office environment. Office hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional needs outside standard business hours to accommodate meetings, training and projects. Some travel may be required. This position requires regular use of computers, communication devices, and other common office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
