Job Description

HR Generalist Company Overview:
Fissco Supply is a leading distributor of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) equipment and supplies. We proudly operate 13 branches throughout Texas and are growing rapidly to meet the needs of our expanding customer base. Our Dallas office is currently seeking an experienced and driven Human Resources Generalist to join our team.
Position Purpose:
This role will oversee a wide range of HR responsibilities including recruiting, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, training, and policy compliance. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, team-focused, and capable of implementing best practices to attract, develop, and retain top talent.

Dallas, TX (On-site)
Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee full-cycle payroll processing, including preparation, maintenance, and distribution, using ADP WorkForce Now. Administer all employee benefits programs, including vendor management, billing, and employee inquiries. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies. Partner with managers to support recruiting efforts, from job postings through onboarding. Facilitate employee training and development, including
OSHA/HAZMAT
maintaining compliance programs. Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution. Maintain and organize job descriptions, performance appraisals, and related documentation. Champion and support HR best practices, including performance management and retention strategies. Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Support internal communication, culture-building efforts, and other HR-related initiatives as needed. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Strong computer skills with expert knowledge of Microsoft Office; Teams, Zoom, ATS program a plus. Proficiency with ADP WorkForce Now required. Knowledge of employment laws, benefit administration, and HR processes. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive approach. Ability to adapt to a changing environment, prioritize workload, self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. Hands-on, detail-oriented, problem solving and self-motivated. Certification such as
HRCI/SHRM
preferred.
