Houston, TX 77018 Temp to hire / Direct Hire opportunity with career growth and stability Job Description A well-established manufacturing business with over 60 years of success is seeking a hands-on HR & Office Generalist to serve as the primary HR and administrative leader for the organization. This is a highly visible role supporting a close-knit team environment where the right person will act as a trusted advisor to leadership while helping oversee day-to-day HR operations, office management, employee relations, compliance, and company culture.

Responsibilities :

Serve as the primary HR resource for employees, managers, and leadership Manage full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and employee retention efforts Support employee relations, coaching, performance conversations, and engagement initiatives Maintain HR compliance with federal and state employment laws including FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, and wage & hour regulations Oversee HR records, policy updates, and ongoing compliance/document organization projects Coordinate benefits administration and assist with insurance renewals Help drive culture, communication, team events, and employee engagement initiatives Support office operations, vendor coordination, facilities needs , and administrative staff oversight Partner with leadership on process improvements, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements:

5+ years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or small business environment Comfortable balancing strategic HR responsibilities with hands-on administrative support Strong understanding of HR compliance and employee relations Organized, dependable, and self-directed Able to build trust and communicate effectively with employees at all levels Experience supporting office operations or administrative functions is highly preferred
