Job Description

An established agricultural company in San Marcos is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily human resources functions across a growing workforce. This role will assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR operations in a fast-paced agricultural environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both field and office employees while balancing operational HR responsibilities with employee support initiatives.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONSHuman Resources SupportSupport day-to-day HR operations including employee onboarding, offboarding, and personnel administrationMaintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulationsAssist employees and supervisors with HR-related questions and workplace concernsCoordinate benefits enrollment and employee documentation processesSupport leave administration and workers' compensation processesRecruiting & Employee DevelopmentAssist with recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, and onboarding coordinationParticipate in hiring events and workforce outreach efforts as neededCoordinate training initiatives and maintain training compliance recordsSupport employee engagement and retention initiativesCompliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with state and federal labor regulationsMaintain accurate HRIS records and reporting documentationAssist with audits, policy updates, and compliance trackingSupport safety initiatives and HR process improvements
