Job Description

Human Resources Director - Long Term Care Facility Position Summary The Human Resources Director is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all HR functions within the longterm care facility. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while supporting a positive, residentcentered culture. The HR Director manages recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, performance management, payroll coordination, and retention initiatives to maintain a stable and engaged workforce. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead and manage all HR operations for the facility, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Oversee fullcycle recruitment, including job postings, applicant screening, interviewing, and hiring for clinical and nonclinical roles. Conduct newhire onboarding, orientation, and required training to ensure regulatory compliance and employee readiness. Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, credentials, and licensure tracking in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations. Support department leaders with coaching, corrective action, and performance management processes. Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and communication of benefit programs. Coordinate payroll processes with corporate or facility leadership to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Monitor staffing levels and collaborate with scheduling teams to maintain adequate coverage for resident care. Ensure compliance with labor laws, OSHA, EEOC, FMLA, ADA, and longterm care regulatory standards. Lead employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention strategies. Support survey readiness and participate in state and federal inspections as needed. Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional HR standards at all times. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of HR experience , preferably in longterm care, skilled nursing, or healthcare. Strong knowledge of employment laws and healthcare regulatory requirements. Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking platforms (Apploi experience a plus). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRMCP) preferred but not required.
