Job Description

The Washington Spirit is building a pipeline of Account Executives in Group Sales and Membership Sales to help drive the next phase of growth for our club and our fan community! At the Spirit, we are building more than a team—we are building a movement around women's sports in the DMV. From matchday at Audi Field to youth soccer fields across the region, we are committed to creating unforgettable experiences, deepening community connections, and growing the game at every level. This posting is intended to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for future opportunities across our Group Sales and Membership Sales teams. While there may not be an immediate opening, we regularly hire for revenue-driving roles as the organization continues to scale. Candidates who apply may be contacted as positions become available. These roles will play a key part in generating new business, building meaningful relationships, and delivering best-in-class service to fans, clients, and community partners. Account Executives will contribute across multiple ticketing verticals, including group outings, youth soccer engagement, and full and partial season memberships. The ideal candidate is competitive, self-motivated, and relationship-driven, with a passion for sales and women's sports. They should bring a strong work ethic, a "figure it out" mentality, and a team-first approach to everything they do.
Responsibilities:
Sell a full menu of Washington Spirit ticket products, including group outings, youth programs, and full and partial season memberships Generate new business through outbound outreach, including cold calls, email campaigns, networking, and community engagement Develop relationships with youth soccer organizations, schools, corporate partners, and community groups to drive group sales revenue Meet or exceed established sales activity and revenue goals while delivering a high level of service to all clients Proactively identify and develop new leads through referrals, prospecting, and in-market events Host prospective clients at matches, stadium tours, and meetings to drive engagement and close sales Retain, renew, and grow existing book of business across both group and membership accounts Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to enhance the overall fan experience Work games, sales tables, and community events to generate leads and support ticket sales initiatives Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales activity and client interactions within CRM systems Support the planning and execution of matchday experiences and fan engagement initiatives Provide additional support to the Ticket Sales & Service team as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or related field preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 8 months of experience in ticket sales, sports, hospitality, or a related sales role preferred
Sales Skills:
Demonstrated ability to prospect, build relationships, and close business in a goal-driven environment
Communication:
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce) and ticketing systems (Archtics/Ticketmaster) preferred
Work Ethic:
Highly motivated, competitive, and proactive with a positive, team-oriented attitude
Organization:
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a strong, active sales pipeline
Availability:
Must be available to work Washington Spirit home matches, community events, and non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)
Compensation:
Washington Spirit offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary plus commission, as well as medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
