Job Description

We are looking for an HR Specialist to support core human resources operations for a Contract position based in Roanoke, Texas. This role focuses on delivering organized, responsive support across onboarding, employee records, and day-to-day HR administration while helping maintain compliance in a HIPAA-regulated environment. The ideal candidate brings strong HR systems knowledge, sound judgment when handling sensitive information, and a service-oriented approach to employee support.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring required documentation, system setup, and orientation steps are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain employee records within HR information systems and update personnel data with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide administrative support for daily HR operations, including document management, policy communication, and employee status changes.
  • Respond to employee questions related to HR processes, escalating sensitive matters appropriately and helping promote positive employee relations.
  • Assist with compliance-driven recordkeeping and handling of protected information in accordance with HIPAA-regulated standards and company policies.
  • Monitor HR transactions and data entries to help ensure consistency, completeness, and alignment with internal procedures.
  • Support HRIS-related activities, including system updates, troubleshooting coordination, and data validation for personnel information.
  • Contribute to special HR projects and process improvements, including initiatives related to onboarding workflows or system-related administrative changes.
