Job Description

HR Technology & Innovation Intern Valkyrie is a proud participant in the InternshipsVA program
Purpose:
Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a HR Technology & Innovation Intern in Virginia Beach, VA to support HR operations, workforce analytics, and process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys learning new technologies, solving problems, and finding innovative ways to improve processes. The intern will gain hands-on experience with recruiting, onboarding, HR systems, reporting, workforce analytics, and automation projects while helping improve the employee experience through technology and data-driven solutions.
Job Description:
Support recruiting and onboarding activities. Maintain employee records and assist with HRIS data management. Assist with HR reporting, workforce metrics, and data analysis. Support process improvement and workflow automation initiatives. Help identify opportunities to streamline manual HR processes. Assist with employee engagement, training, and communication programs. Participate in HR technology and special project initiatives. Conduct HRIS data audits and support system testing as needed.
Qualifications:
Must be currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field. Must have a strong interest in technology, innovation, and process improvement. Must be comfortable learning new software and systems. Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Must have the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Excel, reporting, or data analysis through coursework, projects, or previous work experience, preferred. Interest in HR Operations, HR Technology, People Analytics, or Business Operations, preferred. What You'll Gain Exposure to HR technology, workforce analytics, and business operations. Hands-on experience with HR systems and process improvement initiatives. Opportunities to contribute ideas and innovative solutions. Mentorship from HR and business leaders.

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time.
