JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for processing personnel actions and record maintenance in the Finance/Human Resources system and other related HR systems. Assists with projects and assignments, such as data entry, data analysis, data verification, employee contracts, evaluations, transfers, and performs related duties as required or assigned. Compiles and provides data in support of the Human Resources Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collects and compiles Human Resources data from a variety of sources including the finance/human resource information system, exit interviews, employment records, applicant tracking, evaluation and other sources; provides data when requested; Monitors data systems with attention to accuracy of records, completes data audits on a routine schedule and makes corrections as needed; Verifies employment records as requested; Processes personnel action entries and maintains records in the Finance/HRIS and other related systems; Assists with projects and assignments, such as position postings, employee contracts, evaluations, intent process and transfers; Analyzes, inputs, maintains, and verifies data in human resource data system(s) using established processes; Works collaboratively with the Enterprise Systems Supervisor on data maintenance and shared data between systems; Inputs and maintains accurate personnel actions and collaborates with HR, payroll, benefits and finance staff; Maintains spreadsheets for processing stipends and stipend entry and verification; Processes tuition assistance applications and reimbursement requests; Supplies routine information to HR, benefits, payroll and finance staff members; Collects and compiles data for reports required for the Virginia Department of Education and other government and local agencies; Works closely with technology staff for accurate oversight of Power School systems; Set-up new employees in benefits enrollment system and Employee Navigator (VRS); Complies with and supports school and division regulations and policies; Maintain confidentiality of reports, records, correspondence, and communications maintained in the Human Resources Department; Supports KPI's related to the strategic plan and emphasizes priorities related to Human Capital & Positive Culture; Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required) Bachelor's degree preferred; two years of experience in executive administrative roles and/or Human Resources experience; candidate must possess any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school including or supplemented by courses in office practices/procedures and extensive clerical and administrative assistant experience. Knowledge of standard office procedures, practices and equipment, including computers. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, school officials, and the public.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Busy office environment with deadlines and interruptions. Work requires establishing priorities. Work performed is of moderate difficulty involving preparation and maintenance of data records. This is sedentary work requiring stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pulling, routine lifting up to 20 pounds, grasping, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operation of machines, and determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work.
