Job Description

General Summary Benton REA is excited to invite qualified applicants to apply for the full-time Human Resources Specialist position. This is a meaningful, multi-faceted role at the heart of our organization - supporting our most important asset: our people. This position will be based out of our brand-new West Richland headquarters campus upon its opening in May 2026 (located near Keene and Van Giesen). Key Emphases The HR Specialist provides comprehensive administrative support in the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs and initiatives across several key functional areas of Human Resources. This role serves as a collaborative resource for Association managers and employees, addressing a broad range of HR needs including employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, compliance, and workforce development. The HR Specialist plays an integral role in fostering a positive and productive work environment by delivering timely, accurate, and professional HR services with warmth and approachability, navigating sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy, and cultivating a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and proud to work for the Association. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field. Two years of experience in Human Resources administration. Or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the role. Valid Washington State driver's license. Strong technological proficiency and aptitude within HR-related software programs. A service-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities with positivity and initiative. Strong written and verbal communications, with an ability to connect warmly and effectively with employees at all levels. Desirable Qualifications PHR, SHRM-CP, or other relevant professional designation. Experience administering payroll.
