Job Description

Purpose of Position:
Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Specialist will assist in performing HR functions to include but not limited to; recruitment, onboarding, retention, records maintenance, assisting in benefit open enrollment, FMLA, performance evaluation process, and HRIS/payroll updates. This position will also assist the Administrative Coordinator and Insurance/Risk Manager as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree in human resources or related field; 2-3 years of work experience in a human resource setting with knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits, record keeping and FMLA. Must be detail orientated and have the ability to multi-task. Must have knowledge of state and federal employment law. Must have experience with human resource information systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in public administration is preferred.
