Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee all HR related functions from sourcing applicants through the entire employee lifecycle Manage employee relations, including employee coaching, disciplinary actions, terminations, and maintaining a positive culture free from discrimination & harassment. Oversight of safety programs and required employee trainings Manage full cycle recruiting from updating job descriptions, background checks to onboarding new hires. Advise & provide support with performance management Administer employee benefits, including vendor communications, open enrollment, new hires, & terminations Maintain Company compliance, including, but not limited to, posting requirements, reporting requirements, annual training requirements, and employment records. Process payroll, and manage time & attendance, including PTO Update employee forms and handbooks as needed Maintain all employee personnel and medical files Manage unemployment claims and workplace injuries if/when applicable Stay up to date with current State and Federal employment laws and regulations and implement changes.
Requirements:
2-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a small business or warehouse setting Associate or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred Full knowledge & understanding of employment rules & regulations & HR best practices and administration, including, but not limited to: recruitment, unemployment processes, federal and state employment laws, small business payroll and employment requirements, small business HR reporting requirements Excellent verbal & written communication skills Experience with computer applications and systems such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, time tracking & payroll. Versed in multiple recruiting resources (online, social media, etc)
