Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to influence all facets of human resources management within a thriving organization. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive workplace culture, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Your proactive approach will help us attract top talent, develop our workforce, and support organizational growth.
Scope and Purpose:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.
Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
Oversee full-cycle of recruitment efforts, along with new hire orientation, onboarding efforts and employee termination process. May check credentials and references, and schedules follow-up interviews with company Managers / Supervisors. May administer pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks; conducts new employee orientations; Maintains employee records, reports, and logs. Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants. Administers various employee benefit programs, such as group life insurance, health insurances, 401(k), and other employee benefits. Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives. Performs payroll/benefit-related reconciliations to General Ledger and other accounts. Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially. i.e : unemployment claims, Worker's comp claims, verifications, I9 status and State regulations. Accountable and responsible for all aspects of payroll processing, verifying totals, paying payroll taxes, responding to and resolving payroll questions. Processes all court-ordered or tax levied wage garnishments and ensure compliance. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
May substitute for Human Resources Manager in his/her absence. Minimum Education and/or
Experience Qualifications:
Requires education generally equivalent an associate's degree in Human Resource Administration/Management or equivalent experience. Effective communication in English and Spanish is required to ensure comprehension of safety procedures, training materials, and workplace policies.
Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. Thorough working knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to handle employee issues in a compliant and sensitive manner. Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently. High level of organizational skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work independently. Ability to multi-task. Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness.
Pay:
$21.00 - $35.00 per hour
