The Seasonal Recruiter plays a critical role in ensuring campaigns are staffed with passionate, prepared, and community-connected individuals who reflect the communities we serve. This role directly impacts the success of statewide voter engagement, canvassing, petition, and civic participation programs by building strong hiring pipelines, delivering positive candidate experiences, and helping new employees feel confident and supported from day one. As a Seasonal Recruiter, you are not simply filling positions—you are helping build the teams that power democracy, grassroots organizing, and long-term community influence across Arizona. Position Overview The Seasonal Recruiter - Field Recruitment & Training leads high-volume recruitment and onboarding efforts to support field operations across Arizona during campaign cycles and peak organizing periods. This role oversees the recruitment lifecycle from sourcing and screening to onboarding and training support. The ideal candidate is people-centered, highly organized, adaptable, and energized by fast-paced environments and mission-driven work. The Seasonal Recruiter works closely with HR, Operations, and Field Leadership to ensure hiring goals are met while maintaining an equitable, efficient, and welcoming candidate experience. Key Outcomes for Success A successful Seasonal Recruiter consistently: Builds strong, diverse hiring pipelines that meet statewide staffing goals. Ensures field offices are fully staffed on schedule to support campaign timelines and priorities. Creates positive candidate experiences that reflect organizational values and improve retention. Supports effective onboarding and training experiences that help new hires feel prepared and connected. Maintains accurate hiring and recruitment data that supports planning and decision-making. Strengthens collaboration between HR, Operations, and Field Leadership to improve hiring efficiency and responsiveness. Core ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent Pipeline Development Lead high-volume recruitment efforts for canvassing, voter registration, and field program staff statewide. Source candidates through community outreach, hiring events, digital platforms, referrals, grassroots partnerships, and networking. Conduct screening interviews and coordinate hiring processes with field leadership and HR. Develop creative and inclusive recruitment strategies that attract mission-aligned candidates from diverse communities. Candidate Experience & Onboarding Ensure timely communication with applicants throughout the hiring process. Coordinate onboarding logistics and assist with orientation preparation and new hire readiness. Support onboarding and training efforts that help employees transition successfully into their roles. Help maintain a welcoming and culturally competent onboarding experience. Training & Facilitation Assist in creating and delivering onboarding and recruitment training materials. Facilitate virtual or in-person training related to hiring, onboarding, and field readiness. Support development of training systems that improve staff preparedness and retention. Operations, Reporting & Collaboration Maintain accurate recruitment trackers, hiring logs, and staffing reports. Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Field teams to monitor staffing needs and hiring progress. Support rapid hiring scale-up efforts during high-volume campaign periods. Attend recruitment events, meetings, and organizational training as needed. Additional Responsibilities Maintain organized documentation and compliance-related hiring records. Support continuous improvement of recruitment systems and workflows. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience in recruitment, hiring, community outreach, organizing, canvassing, customer service, training, or related people-centered work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse communities confidently and respectfully. Ability to facilitate conversations, training, or presentations for groups of varying sizes. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments. Comfort using digital tools such as Google Workspace, spreadsheets, Zoom, and applicant tracking or onboarding systems. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends during peak campaign periods. Ability to travel regularly throughout Arizona; reliable transportation required. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events, recruitment drives, or field support activities. Demonstrated professionalism, adaptability, and solutions-oriented mindset. Preferred, Not Required Prior experience working on campaigns, canvassing programs, or civic engagement initiatives. Bilingual or multilingual skills, especially Spanish. Experience leading teams or supporting high-volume hiring efforts. Experience developing training materials or facilitating onboarding sessions.
