This dual-role position combines talent acquisition expertise with hands-on driving responsibilities, ensuring seamless recruitment and onboarding of qualified drivers while maintaining safe and efficient transportation operations. This ideal candidate will spend the majority of time within the office while demonstrating strong communication skills, technical recruiting abilities, and a passion for building relationships with drivers and customers. We are looking for someone who is proactive, a decision maker and a problem solver to help our team attract top talent and deliver exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for driver positions, including sourcing, interviewing, negotiating offers, and onboarding new hires using social media and indeed working with our Fleet Manager in Fontana. Oversee internal recruiting processes to fill driver vacancies promptly while maintaining compliance with employment and labor laws. Able to conduct thorough interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit; utilize HR sourcing team in Temecula while identifying top talent. Able to navigate on Motive and LoadStop TMS to track any violations Develop and maintain relationships with current customers relationship management strategies, and research to generate lead pipelines. Must have several years of current Class A CDL Must be computer illiterate and follow company policy for hiring practices Coordinate transportation schedules by driving company vehicles as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed according to DOT regulations. Oversee employee orientation sessions for new drivers, including contract review, employee evaluation procedures, and training & development programs. Assist in simple repairs and maintenance with our Fleet Manager Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, driver logs, contracts, employee relations issues, and compliance documentation using company SOP. Experience Proven experience in technical recruiting or talent acquisition within transportation or logistics industries. Strong knowledge of employment & labor law related to CDL drivers and transportation safety standards. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, relationship management, and effective communication skills across diverse audiences. Familiarity with Motive and the software is preferred. Previous experience in driver recruitment or internal recruiting roles is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical driving duties safely while adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies. Experience with social media management for recruiting purposes and lead generation strategies.
