Job Description

PIH Health is seeking multiple physician relations representatives to manage the expansion of the physician referral base for selected service lines. This is a business development role, responsible for increasing service line volume by educating the provider community in primary, secondary and tertiary markets on new programs, services and technologies offered by PIH Health. The Representative will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with Physicians/Practices through consistent, strategic field call strategies . PIH Health is a nonprofit, regional healthcare network that serves approximately 3 million residents in the Los Angeles County, Orange County and San Gabriel Valley region. The fully integrated network is comprised of PIH Health Downey Hospital, PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, PIH Health Whittier Hospital, 37 outpatient medical office buildings, a multispecialty medical (physician) group, home healthcare services and hospice care, as well as heart, cancer, digestive health, orthopedics, women's health, urgent care and emergency services. Required Skills Skills Needed:
Strong understanding of the basic principles of referral development, hospital/clinical marketing and sales, and the operation of physician offices. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with physicians and physician office staffs to gain trust and understanding in an effort to increase referral to IDS services. Responsibilities Maintain complete and comprehensive Customer Relationship Management (CRM) record on existing and potential referring provider activity to increase effectiveness of communication and to serve as a basis for strategy development and new business opportunities Requires experience with using claims based databases such as Trilliant to analyze and identify referral sources, referral trends and geographic opportunities to prioritize efforts and target new relationships in an effort to increase referral levels. Evaluates payer mix and explores opportunities to support referral efforts. Develop and implement strategies based on payor opportunities. Analyzes demographic and clinic activity linked to referring providers through market intelligence, to create strategic referral goals and determine outcomes and effectiveness
Required Experience Required:
H.S. Graduate/GED Candidates need to have 5 years experience in healthcare business development and sales and experience working in a multi-hospital health system Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration preferred.
