Full Job Description Job Description Position Summary:
The Office of Admissions is tasked with enrolling an incoming student body consistent with the mission and vision of access, research, teaching, service and engagement at Colorado State University and is responsible for coordinating enrollment efforts across the university related to inclusive recruitment and counseling, marketing, application, strategy, and technical support functions for most prospective students. Through innovative and strategic approaches, Admissions strives to balance its growth in attracting an increasingly diverse and well-prepared student body while remaining true to its land-grant mission and heritage. We employ a holistic, comprehensive review process to select new undergraduates, not only in light of their preparation, but their potential to successfully contribute to the campus and world community. In this role, you will actively recruit first year students to the Spur Start program by serving as a guide and advocate for prospective students, families, and communities within Colorado. You will connect with prospective students and families virtually and in person and through channels including email, phone, text, custom campus visits and video. This position will directly oversee and supervise the Spur Start Ambassador program. You will serve as the face of the university at recruitment events, information sessions and off-site community engagements. This is a twelve-month, full-time permanent position with some travel and evening/weekend responsibilities. This position will be based at the CSU Spur Campus in Denver, CO.

Essential Job Duties:
Manage the recruitment and activities at CSU Spur campus and represent Spur Start at recruitment events Serve as the point of contact for the CSU Spur Education team to coordinate group visits and presentations, guide prospect students and their families through the application process and respond to students via phone email text and in person Directly supervise student staff by coaching and managing schedules. Lead/facilitate Spur campus programming, serve as point of contact for event logistics and with CSU Admissions Engagement and Outreach team.
Conditions of Employment:
Ability to work irregular work hours, including nights and weekends. Maintain a valid Driver's License or have access to a licensed driver at the time of application. The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; The department will not sponsor a visa for this position.
Supervision:
2 student staff
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree. Demonstrated presentation and public speaking skills. Fluent in Spanish both written and spoken. An understanding and commitment to CSU's values and guiding principles. An understanding of the Land Grant Mission of CSU. Two years of employment experience in education, higher education, or access programs.
