Job Description
Summary:
Work closely with Talent Manager and other department managers to execute and ensure that the hiring initiatives and processes meet the needs of the organization. Ensure the employee experience aligns with contract expectations and the overall strategies and goals of the departments. Research and develop opportunities to recruit, retain, and promote a culturally diverse workforce. Demonstrate excellent customer service consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization. Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions and collaborate with the talent team and department managers to understand needs, skills and competencies required for openings while minimizing the cost-per-hire. Coordinate and help to manage the full life cycle recruitment (post, source, prescreen, schedule, background/references, offer and onboarding, etc); Conduct, facilitate and/or assist with all the appropriate background checks and employee eligibility verifications according to departmental procedures and contractual requirements. Partner with Finance to ensure accurate labor and allocations tracking are current and align with contract requirements. Coordinate and maintain current job descriptions with the Director of Workforce Excellence to ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and align with contract requirements. Coordinate and assist with New Hire Values Orientation and onboarding programs. Execute HR/Workforce Excellence transactions and initiatives including but not limited to onboarding check-ins (30/60/90 day etc), support employee relations and retention efforts ongoing. Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, problem solve where necessary and refer complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of Workforce Excellence or others as appropriate.Other Duties:
Work closely within the Talent team to collect and coordinate aggregate data for the talent pool and translate those data into insights through data analysis that drives deliberate action plans at the appropriate levels. Coordinate and assist with all staff special events and meetings as requested. Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed. Troubleshoot or facilitate as needed or directed on compensation/position/termination changes; assist with benefits, occupational health and safety issues. Attend all mandatory training, general staff and department meetings. Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibility:
This position may have daily supervisory responsibility of community volunteers or interns who are providing assistance with special projects or assignments that support the department. The responsibility when assigned, includes ensuring interns or volunteers are working safely, are monitored and supported to have a positive volunteer experience.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Generally Monday through Friday during business hours. Some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Hours and days may vary based on the needs of the organization.Competencies:

Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR recruitment and retention best practices. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and organization skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and able to maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations. Possess personal qualities of integrity, patience and commitment to mission. Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field. One to two years of recruiting or generalist HR experience working in a fast paced environment.Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources with PHR or talent management certification. Three to five plus years of generalist experience coordinating HR functions in a busy office setting. Experience working in a nonprofit or human services environment. Valid Driver's License and clean traffic abstract.
