Job Description:

Beacon Hill was founded to set a new standard in search, career placement and flexible staffing. Beacon Hill has partnered with a growing transportation company in Chicago in hiring a contract recruiter to start immediately! This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of an extension. Our client is looking for someone with a strong sourcing background who is excellent at building relationships and hitting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle recruiting for contract and direct hire roles, including engineering, construction management, and skilled trade positions Partner closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, timelines, and job requirements Source candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and direct outreach Screen resumes and conduct phone/virtual interviews to assess skills, experience, and cultural fit Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and guide candidates through the hiring process Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system Provide a positive, responsive candidate experience from initial contact through offer Extend offers, assist with onboarding coordination, and staffing documentation as needed Support changing business needs in a fast-paced, project-driven environment Requirements 2+ years of proven experience as a recruiter, preferably supporting engineering, construction, or skilled labor roles Experience managing high-volume or project-based recruiting workloads Strong sourcing and candidate outreach skills Ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and internal teams Excellent communication and organizational skills Comfortable working in a contract-based, deadline-driven environment Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
