This role will assist in full-cycle recruitment efforts across the organization, ensuring a positive candidate experience and alignment with our culture and values. In addition to recruitment, the Recruiter will play an active role in onboarding, acquisition integration, new hire engagement, and broader HR initiatives. The Recruiter will also support the development and optimization of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Learning Management System (LMS), and HR Information System to improve efficiency and the overall employee experience. This position offers the option to be remote, with preference for candidates based near Dupo, IL. Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a strong plus. Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, proactive sourcing and direct outreach, screening, interviewing, background/reference checks, and offer management. Partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruiting strategies, job descriptions, and interview processes. Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through networking, career fairs, and other sourcing channels. Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely communication and clear expectations throughout the process. Leverage and help refine the ATS to manage candidates, track progress, and generate recruitment reports. Track recruitment metrics and prepare reports to inform hiring strategies and identify areas for improvement. Onboarding, Acquisition Integration & New Hire Experience Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including orientation sessions, documentation, and systems access. Enhance the new hire experience by creating engaging, consistent, and culture-focused onboarding practices. Partner with managers to develop and implement effective integration plans for employees joining through acquisitions, including site visits as needed. Act as a primary point of contact for new hires during their first weeks, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition. Continuously assess and improve onboarding processes to strengthen engagement and retention. HR Systems & People & Culture Support Support and help optimize the ATS and HRIS, ensuring systems are user-friendly, data is accurate, and workflows are efficient. Collaborate to identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and reporting needs across People & Culture functions. Assist with HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, compliance tracking, and HRIS updates. Support benefit administration, including employee inquiries, enrollment coordination, and carrier communication. Support employee engagement initiatives, learning & development, and performance management projects. Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes to enhance efficiency and the overall employee experience. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting; experience in construction, trades, or field services a plus. Familiarity with onboarding, acquisition integration, and employee engagement best practices. Experience supporting or improving HRIS and ATS processes (Paycor experience a strong plus). Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Comfortable with travel to field locations and acquired sites. Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills a strong plus. LMS experience and familiarity with developing and delivering training a strong plus.
