Talent Acquisition Specialist (REPOST)
DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Under limited supervision, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing the recruitment and selection process for the County of Will. The position supports workforce planning, enhances recruitment strategies and ensures compliance with County policies, collective bargaining agreements, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws. This role is responsible for complex professional and administrative functions critical to the success of the Human Resources Department. Assist with the training and roll-out of the new HRIS/Payroll system's Talent/HR module. Preserve confidentiality of sensitive and personal information. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager II. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for the County; collaborate with hiring managers on recruitment and hiring strategies. Post and advertise vacant positions on internal and external platforms, including government portals, job boards , and social media with hiring departments employee requisition form and County requirements. Maintain and report recruitment metrics, including time -to-fill and diversity statistics in SharePoint Spreadsheet and provide updated status to management; Comply with required timeframe for posting jobs pursuant to collective bargaining agreement and/ or County Executive standards; Establish and maintain official documents and records in appropriate files. Participate in the development of the County's Equal Employment Opportunity Plan (EEOP). Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recruitment and onboarding for the beginning of the life cycle of the employee. Develop an internship program that would be accessible County-wide. Coordinate and oversee the Random Drug Test program. Assist with the training and roll-out of the new HRIS/Payroll system's Talent/HR module. Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience performing complex and responsible duties in Human Resources with an emphasis on recruiting and job placement, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid State of Illinois Driver's License is required, and minimum automobile insurance as required by law. Public sector experience within a union environment is preferred. SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR or PHR Certification preferred.
