POSITION GOAL

Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Recruiter performs professional level recruitment, screening, and candidate referral activities, to ensure adequate staffing in the District at all times.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Serves as a subject-matter expert on recruitment Partners with principals, assistant principals, and department directors in the District, to effectively address recruitment needs in a timely manner Monitors vacancies, daily, and provides input on trends and areas of need Develops and conducts training sessions for principals, assistant principals, and department directors on recruitment best practices Participates, in-person, at college job fairs/recruiting events - locally and regionally Coordinates, compiles and updates informational recruiting materials for in-person college recruiting events Monitors hiring events organized by local and regional civic and governmental organizations Creates recruiting outreach and interviewing plans for open positions In collaboration with the District's Communications Department, creates and posts employment advertisements, to local and regional media outlets Uses social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates Contacts applicants for follow up, as may be warranted Evaluate prospective candidate's qualifications against job descriptions, before forwarding prospective candidate to principals, assistant principals, and department directors for further consideration Monthly joint meeting with the Deputy Superintendent and the Director of Human Resources, to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and recruiting activities Generate recruitment statistics and recruitment activity reports as needed or required Administers the day-to-day activities related to applicant flow in the District's Fast Track job applicant system Performs other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

PREFERRED

Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in Human Resources Proficient use of personal computers and applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Google Doc, etc.) Valid Illinois Driver's License
