No export control requirement. Job Story Wichita State University Office of Admissions is seeking an enthusiastic Regional Admissions Recruiter to help us inspire the next generation of WSU Shockers. This position will reside in the Tulsa area as one of two regional representatives in the state of Oklahoma for Wichita State University Office of Admissions. The position serves as a member of the Admissions Team, managing the assigned recruitment territory to assist in achieving enrollment goals for Wichita State University. This position provides information about the university and the college planning process to prospective students, parents, and high school counselors. Qualified candidates will be passionate about higher education and eager to join a fun and hard-working team. This position requires a home-based office in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area with some travel to Northwest Arkansas and does require some nights and weekends on a flexible schedule. This position maintains an off-site home-based recruitment office designed to plan, execute and evaluate these recruitment activities: Independently managing your own recruitment territory. This includes building and executing a dynamic recruitment plan that blends proven tactics with creative outreach tailored to the market as well as reviewing and analyzing data to determine fairs and events to attend and which schools to visit. You will build a comprehensive plan to visit high schools, attend college fairs, make travel arrangements and conduct visits. Cultivating strong relationships with high school counselors. Tracking interactions and analyze data in Slate CRM, adjusting strategy based on successful programs and where new opportunities emerge. Help plan and host special recruitment events for prospective students within the market. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and alumni, to coordinate logistics. Informing prospective students and their supporters about Wichita State University academic programs, requirements and life on campus which will include attending some on and off campus programs. Communicating with prospective students, families and high school counselors, presenting to groups ranging from 20-300 people. Building relationships with prospective students and their families to share the opportunities Wichita State University has for them Traveling to Wichita State University's campus for large recruitment events and training sessions. Some additional overnight travel to territory may also be required. Attend training sessions to maintain knowledge of current information. Job Summary Primarily responsible for recruiting prospective students from a set territory outside of Kansas. In addition, serves as the lead recruiter for certain high schools and/or community colleges. Essential Functions Recruits students outside of Kansas in designated schools and geographic regions, which includes follow-up with recruits by phone, mail and other personal communications streams to meet weekly and monthly recruiting goals. Develops and implements recruitment programming for students, parents, and counselors. Works with campus departments to coordinate recruitment programs. Represents the University at specified schools, college and community fairs, public presentations, and/or seminars outside of the normal recruitment territory. Contributes to overall recruitment efforts for the University, particularly in areas outside of direct responsibility. Facilitates office coverage and participates in on and off campus recruitment programs, including group presentations; greets walk-in and scheduled visitors; maintains knowledge of all facets of the University. Markets scholarships and participates in selections process when appropriate. Manages budgets related to program and visit expenditures. Reconciles monthly statements and billings from assigned programs and/or visits. Job Duties Regional recruiter is responsible for representing the university and working with prospective students in their area. Going into various schools and fairs passing out publications and answering questions about the university and the enrollment process.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in education, business or related field One (1) year of experience in recruiting, admissions or related field
Required License/Certifications/Training:
Valid drivers license in state of residence
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Enthusiastic candidates who work well independently as well as in a team.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with candidates and stakeholders. Experience with presenting or public speaking. Qualified candidates will possess the ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously. Qualified candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented and adaptable to change given the nature of the position. Qualified candidates will have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and/or CRMs, including Slate. Knowledge of the Wichita State University campus and programs.

Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information. Ability to move, transport, and/or deliver items, supplies, or equipment. Ability to move or traverse across campus, within buildings and offices, and/or across external environments. Ability to drive state vehicle.
