PROGRAM ASSOCIATE - THE OFFICE ASSISTANT
Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA Organization The Asian University for Women Support Foundation (AUWSF) is a U.S.-based 501(c)3 nonprofit which is responsible for international resource mobilization and communications for the Asian University for Women (AUW). Opened in 2008, AUW is an international, liberal arts university which seeks to cultivate the region's next generation of female leaders. With a student body of 2000 recruited from 22 different countries, AUW promotes the ethos of cross-cultural understanding, academic curiosity, and ethical leadership. AUWSF provides a fast-paced work environment with new projects frequently on the horizon and strong opportunity for growth. Job Description Reporting to the Managing Director, the Program Associate - the Office Assistant is responsible for the administrative and logistical support for the AUWSF team. In addition, the Program Associate is responsible for conducting prospect research, drafting letters, and assisting with other development tasks. Responsibilities Maintain the office administrative and logistical tasks such as answering phones, mailings, printings, and filings; Maintain the office environment and arrange office items as needed; Organize book donations and arrange the shipping to AUW; Coordinate various calls, meetings, and business trips for the Development Staff; Conduct research as needed for the Development Staff; Write letters to external constituents and follow-up on the letters; Professional Experience/Qualifications Excellent writing and research skills are required. Very strong organizational skills and sense of self direction is required. Ability and desire to interact effectively with people of all backgrounds, nationalities and cultures. Experience with Raiser's Edge fundraising software is a plus. A Bachelor's degree is required.
