  • Military & Veteran Outreach to represent RapidAscent at career events near major U.
S. military installations. This is a flexible, event-based contract role ideal for veterans or those with experience supporting transitioning service members. You'll help guide active-duty personnel and veterans as they explore high-impact career training in IT, Networking, and Cybersecurity. This is not a sales role—it's a high-touch outreach position rooted in education, coaching, and purposeful engagement. Duties Attend and support TAP/SkillBridge briefings, installation career fairs, and nonprofit events near major military bases. Set up and manage outreach booths and materials, ensuring a strong and professional presence. Communicate clearly about RapidAscent's program offerings, career pathways, and VA education benefits. Engage 1:1 with transitioning service members to understand their goals and guide them to appropriate training paths. Coordinate with installation representatives for scheduling and access to events. Maintain accurate tracking and submit post-event reports within 48 hours. Provide feedback to improve messaging and learner engagement strategies. Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills—clear, motivating, and relatable to military audiences. Prior military service required; familiarity with TAP, SkillBridge, or military transition programs is preferred. Organized and responsive with excellent follow-through and reporting skills. Comfortable presenting program information and engaging in thoughtful advising conversations. Able to learn RapidAscent's curriculum model, outcomes, and VA benefit alignment (no prior cyber background required). Must be eligible for access to local military installations (CAC clearance preferred).
Work Arrangement & Hours Contract Type:
Independent Contractor (1099)
Schedule:
Flexible; event-based. Average 2-8 hours/week depending on event frequency (ranging from biweekly to quarterly).
Region-Based:
You'll be assigned to events near one of the following military installations closest to your location: Fayetteville, NC
  • Fort Bragg (Fort Liberty) Killeen/Temple, TX
  • Fort Hood (Fort Cavazos) Tacoma/Pierce County, WA
  • Joint Base Lewis-McChord Clarksville, TN / Hopkinsville, KY
  • Fort Campbell El Paso, TX / Las Cruces, NM
  • Fort Bliss San Antonio, TX
  • Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)
Compensation Event Fee:
Flat fee per event, covering preparation, travel, setup/teardown, and follow-up.
Transition Commission:
Fixed commission for each service member or veteran you successfully guide into the program and who reaches key milestones.
Fee & Commission Structure:
Commission rates are fixed; event fees vary depending on event type and duration (e.g., briefings vs. full-day fairs).
Travel & Materials:
