Through innovative research and hands-on educational experiences, we work to advance animal systems and feed and enrich the lives of a growing global population. As a Recruitment Coordinator and Academic Advisor , you will: Create and implement a strategic plan for marketing and recruitment of students into the Animal Sciences major in the College of Agricultural and Natural Resources (CASNR). Conduct individual campus visits, school visits, and participate in statewide recruitment events to promote the Animal Science major. Engage with high schools and community college to support recruitment efforts. Coordinate on-campus events as well as efforts with the Animal Science Recruitment Committee and Animal Science Ambassadors. Provide support for Animal Science recruits during UNL application and admissions process. Advise undergraduate students in the Animal Science major. Some travel is required, including evenings and weekends as needed for recruitment activities. In the UNL System, this position is categorized as a Recruitment Coordinator. Familiarity with academic programs relevant to the Animal Science department is essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to utilize online platforms to provide advice/assistance to others. Valid driver's license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria. Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred, but not required: Marketing, recruitment or sales experience. Knowledge of university and college admissions procedures.
