The Senior Recruiter will:
Support the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) participants who face long-term barriers that prevent them from meeting program work requirements. Meet regularly with participants to ensure the basic needs of the entire family are addressed. Provide individualized coaching and mentoring to parents to help them advance toward personal, educational, and career goals. Assess each household member's needs, identify barriers, and match families with appropriate resources to reduce those barriers. Help participants progress toward both short-term and long-term goals by guiding them through tailored action plans. How does it get done? The Senior Recruiter is responsible for: Providing comprehensive case management to participants, including assessing needs, identifying barriers, determining skills and abilities, and connecting individuals to resources that help mitigate barriers; Monitoring and evaluating participant progress and completing follow-up as outlined in each individual plan; Collaborating with partner agencies to assist participants in completing assigned goals and tasks; Recommending modifications to each participant's Individual Responsibility Plan (IRP) and/or Work Participation Agreement (WPA) in alignment with Health Care Authority (HCA) policies and the TANF Work Verification Plan; Ensuring timely and accurate data entry for all TANF participants in the ASPEN and WorkPath systems; Demonstrating the ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental or physical limitations, substance-use challenges, or domestic-related hardships. Who are the customers? TANF Limited Population participants and individuals seeking a Hardship Extension Ideal Candidate TANF Limited Population participants and individuals seeking a Hardship Extension Minimum Qualification Associate degree in Social Services, Education, Government, Human Resources, or Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in customer service, administrative support, business administration, human resources, recruitment, placement, selection, compensation, benefits administration, labor relations, occupational analysis, processing personnel transactions, or eligibility determination in a public and/or social welfare program. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess or obtain Defensive Driving Certificate. Working Conditions Office setting. Sitting for long periods of time viewing computer monitor. Repetitive hand movement. Standing, walking, lifting up to 20lbs. Use of computer, copier and telephone.
