Responsibilities:
Lead recruitment efforts across direct support, clinical, professional, and leadership positions, managing the hiring process from job posting through offer acceptance. Manage candidate movement throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely progression, accurate documentation, proactive follow-up, and consistent communication with candidates and hiring teams. Conduct recruiter interviews utilizing structured interview guides and evaluation tools to ensure consistent, equitable, and compliant candidate assessments aligned with OPWDD regulations, New York State requirements, and agency standards. Process and review Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) for driving-required positions, ensuring compliance with Agency Motor Vehicle Operating Requirements (MVOR) standards prior to candidate submission to leadership. Extend verbal offers within established departmental timelines and promptly generate formal offer documentation for candidate review and decision. Complete recruiter-owned pre-employment tasks, including Staff Exclusion List (SEL) results review, TB authorization fax submission, and all required documentation prior to submission to Onboarding. Ensure new hires are accurately submitted to UKG Onboarding within established deadlines aligned with anticipated New Employee Orientation (NEO) dates. Interview internal candidates for transfer and promotion opportunities, serving as a consultative partner to support employee growth, organizational fit, and long-term retention. Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives utilizing job boards, social media, networking, referrals, community partnerships, and recruitment marketing efforts to build strong talent pipelines for high-need and hard-to-fill positions. Partner closely with hiring managers and operational leadership, including conducting regular site visits, to assess workforce needs, strengthen partnerships, and develop targeted recruitment strategies. Deliver a high-quality candidate experience through professionalism, responsiveness, transparency, and consistent communication throughout the recruitment process. Represent and promote Lifetime Assistance as an employer of choice through job fairs, hiring events, community outreach initiatives, and recruitment branding efforts. Analyze recruitment metrics and hiring trends to identify opportunities to improve hiring efficiency, quality of hire, retention, and overall recruitment performance. Provide mentorship, guidance, and day-to-day support to recruitment team members to promote collaboration, accountability, consistency, and professional development across the team. Communicate recruitment risks, staffing challenges, workforce trends, and operational barriers to the Director of Talent Acquisition while providing solution-oriented recommendations. Support departmental initiatives, process improvements, workforce planning efforts, and strategic talent acquisition projects designed to strengthen recruitment outcomes and organizational growth.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. 1 - 3 years of recruiting experience preferred, including at least one (1) year of nurse recruitment preferred. HR New Grad students strongly encouraged to apply! Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) specifically UKG experience preferred. Experience using Indeed SmartSourcing and LinkedIn Recruiter preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, employment law, and interviewing best practices. Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions. Are You Ready to Begin?
