Empowering lives to thrive. About this Position The Temporary Recruiter is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on business needs. This role is responsible for supporting the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, researching, screening, interviewing, and referring qualified candidates for employment opportunities across the Agency. The Temporary Recruiter will work closely with hiring managers and program leadership to support staffing needs and ensure an efficient and professional candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities :
Partner with management and program supervisors to identify staffing needs, position requirements, and candidate qualifications. Review, screen, and route resumes to the appropriate hiring managers and Program Directors. Post and maintain accurate job openings on the Agency website and internal platforms. Source candidates through schools, community organizations, alumni networks, job boards, and recruiting events. Coordinate and participate in job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives. Review employment application packets to ensure all required documentation is complete prior to leadership approval. Conduct initial candidate screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring teams as needed. Represent the organization professionally at job fairs, schools, and community presentations. Maintain organized recruitment and employment records in compliance with Agency policies and procedures. Travel to offsite recruitment events and Agency locations as needed. Flexible schedule required based on hiring demands. Maintain professional communication and collaboration with all staff, candidates, and external partners. Attend all required trainings and remain compliant with Agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Attendance/Punctuality is consistently at work and on time. Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Arrives at meetings and appointments on time. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field preferred or Equivalent experience Minimum of 3-5 years of recruiting, staffing, human resources, or talent acquisition experience preferred. Experience recruiting in healthcare, nonprofit, social services, OPWDD (Office with Developmental Disabilities) or human services environments strongly preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple job openings and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HRIS platforms preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with management and program teams.
