Talent Acquisition Specialist Department:
Human Resources Position Summary:
Coordinate the recruitment and hiring process for assigned positions ensuring there is an adequate flow of qualified and diverse candidates for all employment and internship opportunities, as well as supporting a positive and engaging candidate and employee experience.

  • Friday Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with hiring supervisors to ensure the effective use agency Applicant Tracking System Ensure timely and accurate candidate tracking updates, including within Applicant Tracking System In partnership with Manager
  • Talent Acquisition, create engaging and persuasive job postings for all open positions Collaborate closely with hiring supervisors and Manager
  • Talent Acquisition to determine the most appropriate placement of job ads while optimizing agency budgets Perform first review of all qualified applicants and interns Support hiring managers as needed by conducting phone screens and reference checks, extending employment offers, and notifying applicants and interns of selection decisions.
Build and maintain relationships with area colleges and employment/training centers to drive awareness of employment and internship opportunities Represent New View Alliance and its member agencies at all external recruitment events (i.e. career and college fairs) Ensure collaboration among Human Resources team and hiring supervisors across all Agencies to determine the best fit of all qualified candidates being considered Process all applicable background checks, including medical forms, for assigned new and current staff and interns in an efficient and engaging manner Participate in recruitment and retention-focused committees and initiatives Conduct or assist with interviews for assigned positions, as needed Ensure hiring practices are consistent, equitable, and in alignment with Agency policy. Adhere to all standard operating procedures, and perform job duties in accordance with documented guidelines Stay up to date on changes in recruitment best practices to ensure effective use of Agency funds Participate in employee engagement initiatives, including new employee check-in process All other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Self-motivated and detail oriented with excellent verbal and communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage candidates and community contacts from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds Ability to travel to all affiliation locations Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed to support recruiting events Qualifications Associates degree in Human Resources or related field or at least 1 year of relevant experience An EEO/AA Agency We want to emphasize that the preferred qualifications are not required and that we are committed to helping our future colleagues develop these preferred skills.
