Learning & Development Coordinator Reports To
  • Director of Human Resources Location
  • Walnut Creek Facility (2150 SR 39 Sugarcreek, OH 44681) Hours
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM (Hours may vary based on business needs) Summary The Learning & Development Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with educational institutions to attract top talent for all Ohio ProVia locations.
This role involves outreach to schools, colleges, and universities, participating in career fairs, organizing recruitment events, and fostering partnerships that enhance ProVia' s talent pipeline. The recruiter will work closely with hiring managers to identify recruitment needs and implement strategies to engage with potential candidates early in their academic careers. This role will also identify and implement programs at local technical schools that can be used to upskill ProVia' s current workforce. Candidate is expected to uphold and represent ProVia' s purpose, vision, mission, and values. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Establish and nurture relationships with local technical schools, high schools, colleges, and universities. Act as the main point of contact for all work-study, internship, and apprenticeship programs at all Ohio ProVia locations. Track and maintain necessary paperwork for work-based learning students. Act as the primary point of contact for educational institutions and career services departments. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the organization's presence with local schools. Coordinate company presentations, workshops, and networking events at educational institutions. Organize on-site visits and tours for students and faculty. Identify and engage with potential candidates through school career services, student organizations, and online platforms. Work with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and develop tailored engagement strategies. Provide regular updates on school engagement activities and candidate pipelines. Assist in the development of job descriptions and recruitment materials tailored to student candidates. Partner with local technical schools to utilize training programs for current employees. Monitor and track the progress of talent development partnerships. Handle logistics for training sessions, including venue arrangements, materials preparation, and participant communication. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2-3 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or campus recruiting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software. Ability to travel frequently to various educational institutions and recruitment events. Outgoing and enthusiastic, with a passion for engaging with students and educational communities. Strong networking and relationship-building skills. Creative and proactive in identifying new recruitment opportunities. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Valid drivers license. Physical Demands Ability to stand, kneel, sit, and reach for long periods of time and on a repetitive basis. Ability to sit or stand, using a desktop computer or a laptop, as well as other office equipment and supplies continuously.
