Technical Recruiter

JOB SUMMARY

Nokomis, Inc. is a research and development company specializing in advanced sensing and innovative technologies. The company designs and develops highly sensitive electromagnetic sensors and conducts advanced R&D in support of government customers, including the U.S. Department of Defense, the National Science Foundation, and NASA. Since 2002, Nokomis has executed more than $100 million in government-funded research and development efforts and continues to grow its technical and operational workforce. Nokomis is seeking a Technical Recruiter to support full-cycle recruiting efforts across technical, professional, and corporate roles. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience sourcing, evaluating, and engaging qualified candidates for a range of positions in a small to mid-sized, high-technology organization. This role requires strong initiative, professionalism, and the ability to identify and attract talent using both traditional and non-traditional recruiting methods. This is a direct-hire, full-time salaried position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with occasional additional hours as required. Limited business-related travel may be required, primarily to local universities or recruiting events.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute full-cycle recruiting activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination for priority hiring needs Actively source candidates using multiple channels and maintain consistent communication with candidates, hiring managers, and executive leadership Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications and alignment with position requirements Coordinate and schedule interviews, including pre-interview preparation, interview itineraries, and post-interview follow-up Support background screening processes and hiring documentation requirements Maintain accurate candidate records and activity tracking within the applicant tracking system (ATS) Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide recruiting strategy recommendations Assist with onboarding activities for newly hired employees Support the development and implementation of new or improved recruiting processes and sourcing strategies Post open positions, manage candidate pipelines, and schedule interviews as required

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 2 years of previous recruiting experience Ability to successfully pass a background screening Availability to work on-site, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a professional phone presence Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple teams and organizational levels High attention to detail in reviewing resumes, qualifications, and candidate documentation Strong organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to track recruiting metrics

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience recruiting for technical or engineering roles Familiarity with recruiting in small to mid-sized organizations Bachelor's or Master's degree in human resources, business administration, communications, or a related field Base salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
