Position:
Foster Parent Recruiter/Trainer Program:
Office KidsPeace invites you to join our mission-driven team of professionals who provide hope, help, and healing to children, adults and those who love them. Anyone can "make a living" but we make a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve! Our Foster Parent Recruiter ensures a pool of available local foster parents ready to care for children when the call comes. Create awareness of the need for local foster parents via paid and unpaid advertising, and by representing KidsPeace in community-based activities and events to create visibility about foster care Recruit, interview, and evaluate foster parent candidates according to state and KidsPeace requirements. Participate in training efforts to teach those parents the skills and knowledge about the foster care system and the children we serve Support foster parent recognition, retention and satisfaction through various office and community events Fundraise and create awareness of the ongoing need of resources and supports for local foster youth The many benefits to joining the KidsPeace team include: The camaraderie, teamwork and support of working in a small office combined with the resources and supports offered by a large multi-state organization Autonomy and independence; flexibility in scheduling to support work/life balance Regular supervision and helpful managers Comprehensive initial and ongoing training Tuition assistance when applicable Salary based on experience Travel reimbursement Opportunity for professional growth Health and 403(b) benefits for full time staff; generous
PTO Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related human services degree required; Prior experience in foster care, adoption, or other family serving systems preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Basic Computer skills Valid Driver's license and registered vehicle-able to work independently in the field Must be 21 Check us out!
