Job Description

An opportunity to join our management team doesn't happen often, but we have an opening for a Recruiter to join our Seattle team at Jovie! We're seeking an engaging, communicative and driven person to lead our recruitment activities related to our Back Up Child Care services. As a recruiter you will be the first point of contact with interested applicants. You will manage their application process through screening, interview and hiring decision. You will attend recruitment events, use creativity and communication to gather more applicants. Building our team of amazing caregivers will be your goal! The recruiter must be local to the greater Seattle area.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Job postings on various hiring platforms.
  • Timely response and follow-up to candidate applications through a variety of digital sources with the assistance of the sourcing department.
  • Interview, screen and review/rank qualified candidates for hiring decisions.
  • Set up candidate profiles and check references on viable candidates.
  • Send offer letters, initiate background screens.
  • Guide candidate through to attendance of orientation and onboarding.
  • Develop and direct on-site activities to cultivate candidates and sources of candidates; for example college and community college bulletin boards and job fairs.
  • Research to identify new recruiting opportunities, partnerships and community events.
  • Actively participate with local team to understand business needs and timelines to align recruitment priorities and activities.
  • Meet or exceed KPI's for hiring and retention metrics.
Success in this position will be shown through thoughtful and efficient recruiting, including creativity in identifying and cultivating sources of candidates, knowledge and skill in digital recruiting techniques, successfully evaluating candidates for skill, fit and personality, possibly most important the ability to present our positions in a clear and attractive manner to motivate qualified candidates to join our team. Success is generally measured by the number of hires as well as the quality and longevity of candidates post-hire. Our work is also heavily team-based, therefore valuing the engagement, communication and working relationships with the team of 5 others in Seattle and approximately 20 others nationally is key. This position is "home-based", but includes occasional work outside of the office, such as job fairs, and occasional work outside of traditional business hours to cover special events or accommodate candidate schedules.
Desired Experience:
  • Previous recruitment experience, desired but not required.
  • Prior office or administrative experience required.
  • College Degree preferred.
  • College Club or other outside club leadership is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Writing sample will be requested.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Email, Word, Excel) and G Suite.
  • Outgoing, communicative, and interested in making connections.
  • Fast paced and ability to multi-task as needed.
Full time:
Monday - Friday 9-5pm
Compensation:
$50,000-60,000
DOE Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
