Job Title:
Recruiter Job Description This role supports a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting team in hiring top talent across a retail store network. You will drive full-cycle recruiting for hourly and supervisor-level positions, from sourcing and screening through offers and onboarding. You will contribute innovative ideas for engaging candidates, improving the recruiting experience, and leveraging technology and social media to position the organization as an employer of choice. This is a remote/hybrid position with initial onsite training and a strong possibility of permanent conversion for the right candidate. Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one phone screening interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications for open positions and select candidates to move forward to interviews with hiring managers. Partner closely with hiring managers to create hiring timelines, align on priorities, and schedule interviews for open roles. Source candidates proactively and recommend the most effective job posting and sourcing channels for each requisition. Lead multi-channel recruiting efforts by serving as the voice of the recruiting team across social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and other emerging channels. Manage 10-14 open requisitions simultaneously while maintaining candidate quality, speed, and a strong candidate experience. Drive high-volume outreach by making a large number of calls daily and consistently following up with candidates and hiring managers. Extend job offers, celebrate new hires, and ensure a smooth transition from candidate to team member. Support onboarding for new team members, including assisting with new hire paperwork, coordinating first-day schedules and events with hiring managers, and arranging site tours during onsite training. Partner with Training and Development to coordinate hire dates with training schedules and programs. Serve as a subject matter expert on the full life cycle of the talent acquisition process and act as a consultant to hiring managers, guiding them through internal processes and helping them make informed hiring decisions. Provide constructive pushback to hiring managers when needed, advocating for best practices, fair processes, and realistic hiring timelines. Assist the recruiting team with ongoing process improvements and communication enhancements for candidates, hiring managers, and new team members. Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or Talent Management Systems to manage candidates, track progress, and maintain accurate records. Leverage intermediate to advanced Excel skills and other tools to track metrics such as turnover, time to hire, conversion rates, and return on investment for recruiting efforts. Interpret and apply general business information, technical procedures, and internal policies to support recruiting operations. Prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedure documentation related to recruiting activities. Respond effectively to questions from peers, leaders, and store teams regarding recruiting processes and candidate status. Apply problem-solving skills to address practical challenges in a dynamic environment where limited standardization may exist. Collaborate with a collaborative talent acquisition team while independently owning a portfolio of hourly and retail requisitions. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the broader talent acquisition function. Essential Skills College degree and 2 years of experience in sales or recruiting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience or an equivalent blend of recruiting and sales experience. Proven ability to manage 10-14 open requisitions simultaneously without sacrificing candidate quality or speed. Demonstrated comfort with high phone activity, including making a high volume of calls daily and driving results through proactive outreach. Experience conducting one-on-one phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and move candidates through the hiring process. Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clear and positive messaging to hiring managers, candidates, and store teams. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate vital information to internal stakeholders on a daily basis. Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Flexibility in adapting to different communication styles and organizational cultures.
